Multiplying Disciples (2 credits)
Instructor: Francis Chan
Multiplying Disciples is a course designed for ministers who are passionate about spreading the movement. The benefit of studying this course material is that you will be able to lead others with the same material. This two-credit course will assist you in:
- Serving as a local volunteer, part-time, or career minister
- Leading a Small Group
- Planting a New House Church
- Developing a new local church launch team
- Reaching others in evangelism
- Becoming a Life Coach Minister

The course utilizes material from Multiply by Francis Chan. When you complete this course, you will have a deeper understanding of what it means to make disciples.
This class features readings and videos produced by professors Francis Chan and David Platt.
Multiply: Multiply exists to serve local churches by encouraging and equipping disciples who make disciples in all nations. We do this by providing biblical resources and hosting gatherings that prepare followers of Christ to go, baptize people, and teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded – including the call to make disciples.

Course Outcomes:
- Learn the Biblical Framework of Discipleship identity and practice.
- Develop practices that help you as a minister to live as a disciple and as a personal embodiment of the church.
- Learn how to study the Bible to be effective as a small group or house church leader.
- Survey the Old and New Testaments and the essential knowledge needed to lead a small group or church.
- Study the essential theological issues that allow you to disciple others.
- Discover your role in spreading the gospel in the discipleship framework.

Multiply is designed as a simple resource that you can use to begin making disciples. Our prayer is that it will give you the confidence to step out in faith and disciple the people God has placed in your life. The Material is a 24-session discipleship experience designed for one-on-one and group settings and includes videos and other resources. You can either download the book to read all at once or watch/read/listen to each of the 24 sessions numbered below.
Assignments: View all online lectures and read all the articles on each topic. CLI computer tracks whether you do this. After viewing all lectures for the unit, take the quiz based on the lectures (100% of grade). Each quiz is to be created with 20 questions. Our usual formula is 1/3 true and false and 2/3 multiple choice.
Accessibility: Most videos are accompanied by audio files, and some also have notes.
Grading Scale:
A 95-100% A- 90-94% B+ 87-89% B 83-86% B- 80-82% C+ 77-79% C 73-76% C- 70-72% D+ 67-69% D 63-66% D- 60-62% F 0-59%
Your average for the course must be at least 60%. Otherwise, you will fail the class and will receive no credit.Deadline: You have 180 days to finish the course. Complete all assignments before the final deadline, or you will be automatically unenrolled, and all coursework will be removed. You will have to start over and take the class again to receive credit.
