    CLI Student Teresa Asher

    "My name is Teresa Asher and I live in Kettering, Ohio. I am 54 years old. I work in the medical profession and have great compassion for the elderly patients. I volunteer as a Group Leader for an international bible study group and I love the ladies I have the privilege of shepherding. And I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind. 

    I was not raised in a Christian home and it was not until later in life when I truly began seeking a personal relationship with Jesus. I began looking for answers as to how God would right the wrongs in my life and I found so much more than I could ever imagine. In my bible I read about God's grace and mercy, and God's love. I started going to church and formed a small bible study with my three sisters and  my mother. How precious it is to include God in your family. I joined an international bible study group and after three years they asked me to become a Group Leader. What an honor and privilege to serve our Lord in this way. 

    In pursuit of finding deeper spiritual growth and a possible career in ministry, I searched for Bible Colleges online and realized it would be very costly. Even though I was disappointed, I did not give up and prayed about it. Months later I found CLI,  I believe it was by God's direction. 

    A scholarship at CLI is a blessing. With the knowledge I gain I will become more confident and efficient in leadership and helping others to understand the gospel. In Revelation 22, Jesus says "Behold, I am coming soon!". There is such an urgency to spread the good Word and save souls. With CLI and God's guidance, I can do that. I know God has a good plan for me."
