    Course Overview

Corrections/Prison Chaplaincy Practice (1 Module) equips students to serve as wise, safe, and Christ-centered chaplains in jails and prisons. Researched under Rev. Henry Reyenga and presented by CLI avatar Haley Steiner, this course trains you to understand prison culture, follow facility protocols, and provide trauma-informed spiritual care rooted in Creation–Fall–Redemption and restorative ministry.

You will learn to lead worship and Bible studies behind bars, respond to crises, support reentry preparation, and engage religious diversity and sensitive realities with biblical clarity, policy-aligned boundaries, and professional respect. The course also emphasizes integrity, sustainable rhythms, and avoiding the “savior,” “judge,” or “fixer” posture so your witness can endure for the long haul.
