  • A Soldier's Journey to Comforting Others

Hello everyone, I’m Dennis “Alex” Pracht. As a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and a combat veteran, I’ve gone through tough times, but I have also discovered the incredible healing power of God. Surviving an IED explosion in Afghanistan that took two brave soldiers’ lives was a life-changing experience for me. Since then, I’ve devoted my life to helping others with kindness, understanding, and faith in Christ.

Becoming a Funeral Officiant is a significant step forward in my path. I’ve seen how grief can make people feel alone, but faith frequently offers comfort and warmth during tough times. With this credential, I look forward to helping families in their moments of need by providing dignity, compassion, and hope through Jesus. Whether serving veterans, first responders, or community members, my heartfelt goal is to walk with mourners and lead them to peace through God’s comforting presence.

I chose to pursue this officiant credential because it genuinely resonates with my ministry's heartfelt mission of supporting individuals through times of transition, loss, or crisis. The Funeral Officiant course has given me meaningful spiritual insights and practical skills to conduct services that honor lives and inspire hope for resurrection.

This program has genuinely motivated me to keep developing through the Christian Leaders Institute. I look forward to furthering my education in Chaplaincy, Pastoral Care, and the Ministry Ordination track. Every course enhances my grasp of servant leadership and strengthens my capacity to serve with integrity and compassion. The top-notch, free training from CLI has been genuinely inspiring. It reminded me that ministry is all about heart, not about circumstances, position, or titles. It's a genuine calling to connect with people wherever they are and to share Christ's hope with them all the time. I appreciate this opportunity and am eager to apply these lessons as I continue serving the Kingdom.
