    Course Description

Starting or Connecting Your Church or Soul Center to a Licensed Chaplain Practice equips licensed chaplains, church leaders, Soul Center founders, and ministry builders to develop a clear, accountable, and practical local chaplain ministry. This course shows how a Licensed Chaplain Practice can become an organized expression of Christian spiritual care through a local church or as the defined purpose of a Soul Center.

Students will learn how to move from chaplain calling and recognition to real local ministry practice. The course explains how to define the purpose of a chaplain practice, identify the people or setting being served, connect the ministry to healthy local leadership, establish wise oversight and boundaries, and build sustainable rhythms of spiritual care.

It also explores how specialization pathways can strengthen a local chaplain practice in settings such as hospitals, schools, crisis response, community care, and other ministry fields.

Grounded in Scripture, shaped by the Organic Humans framework, and informed by Ministry Sciences, this course helps students build ministries that are spiritually rooted, relationally wise, church-connected, referral-aware, and ready to serve real people in real places. The goal is not merely to hold a chaplain title, but to develop a living, accountable ministry presence that brings prayer, encouragement, listening, compassion, and Christian witness into the community.
