    Wedding Minister Training

Go beyond leading a wedding ceremony and learn how to serve couples through covenant-centered Christian marriage ministry before, during, and after the wedding day.

1 Module Marriage Ministry Professor Henry Reyenga
Wedding Minister Training prepares Christian leaders to move beyond officiating a ceremony and into a deeper ministry that supports Christian marriage, covenant relationships, and discipleship.

A wedding officiant leads the ceremony. A Wedding Minister serves the covenant.

    Course Overview

Wedding Minister Training prepares Christian leaders to serve weddings as a deeper form of marriage ministry. This one-module course builds on the foundational Wedding Officiant pathway and invites ordained wedding officiants, Advanced Wedding Officiants, chaplains, Life Coach Ministers, Romance Officiants, church staff ministers, youth ministers, Soul Center leaders, and ordained Christian ministers to grow in covenant-centered wedding ministry.

The foundational Wedding Officiant Training prepares a Christian leader to responsibly officiate a wedding ceremony. It focuses on the essentials: ceremony leadership, wedding order, vows, rings, pronouncement, civil responsibility, and the basic role of the ordained wedding officiant.

The Advanced Wedding Officiant role goes deeper in ceremony skill, wedding preparation, officiant practice, couple care, chaplaincy awareness, coaching-informed conversations, and local wedding ministry development. It strengthens the officiant who wants more preparation, whether for one meaningful wedding or for ongoing wedding officiant service.

Wedding Minister Training goes further by focusing on the broader marriage ministry calling. A Wedding Minister does not merely ask, “How do I conduct the ceremony?” A Wedding Minister asks, “How do I serve the bride, groom, covenant, families, church, and marriage journey before, during, and after the wedding?”

“A wedding officiant leads the ceremony.
A Wedding Minister serves the covenant.”

    Building on Previous Training

Wedding Minister Training does not replace Wedding Officiant Training. It builds upon it.

It also does not replace the Advanced Wedding Officiant role. Instead, it extends the vision from officiating skill to marriage ministry formation.

This course is especially valuable for ordained wedding officiants who sense that God may be calling them beyond occasional ceremony leadership into a more intentional marriage ministry role. It is also ideal for Advanced Wedding Officiants who want to continue growing into deeper covenant care.

    Course Outcomes

Students who complete this course will be better prepared to serve weddings with biblical clarity, pastoral wisdom, role boundaries, civil awareness, local church respect, whole-person care, and post-wedding marriage encouragement.

Students will also be encouraged to invite couples into ongoing Christian marriage growth through prayer, discipleship, mentoring, local church connection, and Christian Leaders Institute formation pathways.

    Continue your wedding ministry journey:
Ordained Wedding Officiants and Advanced Wedding Officiants are warmly invited to complete Wedding Minister Training as a next step in becoming trusted Christian leaders who serve not only the wedding day, but also the covenant life that begins there.
