    Overview

    This class introduces basics of scientific method, biological organization, cell structures and functions, DNA and genetics, evolutionary theory, bacteria and viruses, ecology, and animal behavior. God's glory shines as the Creator and Sustainer of all living things.

    1. Understand scientific method and principles of biology. 

    1. Identify characteristics of life, biomolecules, and organic compounds. 

    1. Know key cell structures and their main functions. 

    1. Understand cell reproduction, DNA replication, and genetics. 

    1. Understand and evaluate evolutionary theory from a Christian perspective. 

    1. Explore the structure and impact of microorganisms: bacteria, fungi, and viruses. 

    1. Understand ecological systems and animal behaviors. 

    1. Glorify God as the wise, powerful, loving Creator and Sustainer of all living things. 


    Assignments
    1. View all online lectures and read the related articles.
    2. Take each unit quiz.

    Grading Scale
    A 95-100%   A- 90-94%   B+ 87-89%   B 83-86%   B- 80-82%   C+ 77-79%   C 73-76%   C- 70-72%    D+ 67-69%   D 63-66%   D- 60-62%   F 0-59%
    Your average grade for all assignments in the class must be at least 60%.
    Otherwise, you will fail the class and will receive no course credit

    Note: You have 180 days to complete the course work. If you do not finish by the final deadline, you will be automatically unenrolled, all course work will be removed, and you will have to start over. Please take this course very seriously.
