  • Wedding Officiant Training and Ordination Program

Prepare to serve couples with confidence, biblical clarity, and professionalism as a Christian Wedding Officiant.

1 Module • Professor Reverend Henry Reyenga • Estimated Time: 2–5 Hours

Have you been asked to perform a wedding ceremony? Do you sense a call to serve as an ordained Christian Wedding Officiant?

Whether you are preparing to officiate one wedding or expanding your long-term ministry, this course will help you serve with confidence, biblical clarity, and professionalism.
    Course Overview

The Wedding Officiant Skills Course includes video lectures, readings, and quizzes that assess your learning as you move through the material. You will gain practical skills for preparing, leading, and completing a Christian wedding ceremony.

This course is designed to take approximately 2–5 hours to complete, making it a convenient option for busy students and ministry leaders.

If you want to become ordained through the Christian Leaders Alliance, you will also need to provide a reference or endorsement from someone who knows your faith, character, and calling. This honors the long biblical tradition of ordination being confirmed by the Christian community, not merely claimed by the individual.

  • 🙏 Optional Commissioning Service

This document provides a suggested format for a Christian Wedding Officiant Commissioning Service. While optional, holding a commissioning ceremony can be a meaningful way to publicly acknowledge your calling, affirm your training, and invite prayer and support from your church or community.

It offers a special moment to celebrate and commit to your role as a servant-leader in marriage ministry. We encourage you to consider this step as you step into officiating with confidence and purpose.

Use the outline below as a guide and adapt it to fit your local church or ministry context.

  • If you're officiating weddings, providing premarital counseling, or actively engaged in marriage and relationship ministry, starting a Soul Center may be a natural next step in your calling.

A Soul Center within the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) is a registered Christian religious society designed to serve local communities or specific relational circles. Soul Centers are led by credentialed ministers who uphold the CLA Statement of Faith and follow the Soul Center Handbook. They offer a flexible and meaningful way to formalize and expand your ministry efforts—especially if you're officiating weddings regularly or supporting couples through mentoring or discipleship.

Soul Centers come in many forms, shaped by the gifting and vision of their leaders. For those focused on marriage ministry, your Soul Center could operate as:

    • A Christian officiant ministry
    • A premarital counseling practice
    • A marriage enrichment or retreat ministry
    • A house church or fellowship group for couples

By launching a Soul Center, you gain a recognized framework for your ministry, connect with the broader Christian Leaders Alliance network, and receive support and accountability as you grow. This is a great fit if you're building long-term impact through weddings and relationship-based ministry.
