  Aging with Honor: A Christian Guide for Parents and Adult Children

  Course Leadership: Rev. Henry Reyenga and presented by Haley Johnson
  

  Growing older raises questions every family eventually faces, and learning how to approach them early can change the experience for everyone. Aging with Honor: A Christian Guide for Parents and Adult Children is a practical Christian Growth Mini-Course that helps families approach later life with faith, wisdom, healthy communication, careful preparation, and hope in Christ.

  The course is designed for aging parents, adult children, families, and Christian leaders who want to navigate later-life conversations with greater understanding and peace.

  Outcomes

  By completing this Mini-Course, participants will:

  1. Approach aging and later-life preparation from a Christian perspective of dignity, purpose, and hope.
  2. Strengthen communication between aging parents and adult children.
  3. Practice honor, healthy boundaries, and wise decision-making within family relationships.
  4. Prepare for important conversations about caregiving, housing, driving, finances, medical decisions, and end-of-life wishes.
  5. Respond more wisely to changes such as widowhood, memory decline, caregiving needs, and family transitions.
  6. Consider legacy, reconciliation, stewardship, and what it means to finish life faithfully.

  Requirements

  Participants will complete assigned course materials, reflection activities, and learning quizzes that encourage thoughtful preparation and healthy family conversations about aging.

  Grading and Completion

  Pass/Fail System: A course average of 60% or higher is required to successfully complete the Mini-Course.
