    The Public School Chaplaincy Practice Course prepares volunteer and part-time chaplains to serve in school-related settings with spiritual care, clear boundaries, biblical wisdom, relational discernment, and pastoral integrity. It is designed to help you minister faithfully in moments of crisis, grief, emotional stress, transition, and everyday support.

    This course also features Rev. Tom Walcott, retired Chaplain of the United States Coast Guard, whose long and faithful ministry brings added depth, credibility, and real-world chaplaincy wisdom to the training. His experience in public service, crisis ministry, leadership, and pastoral care strengthens this course for those preparing to serve in sensitive and high-responsibility settings.

    This course is part of a fuller chaplain preparation pathway and may also count as one credit toward the Chaplaincy Degree within the Leadership Excellence School.
