Introduction to Spiritual Growth is a one-module Christian formation course designed to help students understand spiritual growth through the full biblical story of Creation, Fall, Redemption, Calling, Christian Walk, and Spiritual Destiny.
This course presents spiritual growth not as religious performance or private self-improvement, but as whole-person restoration in Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.The course presents spiritual growth from an Organic Human perspective, teaching that human beings are created by God as embodied souls—fully spiritual and fully physical, made in the image of God, designed for communion with God, meaningful relationships, faithful work, wise discernment, and eternal hope.

Students will explore the meaning of spiritual growth as whole-person restoration in Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. The course introduces the biblical foundations of creation, the fall of the soul, redemption in Christ, spiritual rebirth, the Eight Elements of a Christian Walk, the Seven Connections of a Walk with God, spiritual fruit, discernment, calling, gifts, mission, and resurrection hope.
This course was developed by the Christian Leaders Institute Research Team, led by Rev. Henry Reyenga, with contributing members Dr. Mark Vander Meer, Rev. Chaplain Tom Walcott, Pamela Reyenga, Abigail Dominiak, Haley Steiner, and Sophie Distefano.
It is presented in a warm, practical, biblically grounded format for students seeking personal growth, ministry formation, and Christian multiplication. The course structure follows the 12-topic framework from the course master template.
