Covenant Ceremony Design Lab is a creative, practical, and ministry-focused course for Christian wedding officiants who want to design and lead wedding ceremonies that are personal, biblical, beautiful, emotionally honest, and covenant-centered.
This course helps students move beyond generic wedding scripts while maintaining biblical clarity, reverence, and the historic Christian understanding of marriage.Course Description
Today’s couples often want a ceremony that tells their story, honors their families, includes meaningful moments, and feels authentic. Christian wedding ministers can meet that desire without surrendering biblical clarity, reverence, or the historic Christian understanding of marriage.
Students will learn how to conduct a Covenant Story Interview, listen carefully to the bride and groom, identify a meaningful ceremony theme, select Scripture, write a personalized wedding message, guide vows, craft ring language, include appropriate family or memorial moments, and design ceremonies for churches, venues, homes, outdoor settings, Soul Centers, hospitals, hospice rooms, elder care settings, and small weddings.
The Ceremony Design Lab
Listen
Conduct a Covenant Story Interview and listen carefully to the bride and groom.
Discern
Identify a meaningful ceremony theme, Scripture direction, and covenant emphasis.
Design
Write personalized messages, vows, ring language, and family or memorial moments.
Lead
Serve the ceremony with calm presence, clear voice, role awareness, and reverence.
Responsible AI Use
Students will learn how AI can assist with brainstorming, structure, editing, tone, and organization while never replacing prayer, Scripture, pastoral discernment, privacy, human presence, or the minister’s responsibility before God.AI may help draft options, but the Christian wedding minister remains responsible for every word spoken at the ceremony.
Christian Marriage and Organic Human Dignity
This course presents Christian marriage as a covenant union between one man and one woman before God. The bride is honored as an organic female image-bearer before God, and the groom is honored as an organic male image-bearer before God.
This language is used with dignity and care, never to excuse domination, passivity, control, harshness, or self-erasure.
