    A Soul Coach is a volunteer or part-time Christian clergy leader who walks alongside others as they take faithful next steps under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

    The Soul Coach Ordination Credential through Christian Leaders Alliance is the foundational role in the Christian Life Coaching Program. This credential is designed for everyday Christian leaders who feel called to encourage others, support growth, and serve with grace and truth.

    Program Overview

    The Soul Coach Ordination Credential equips Christ-centered leaders to serve others through biblical encouragement, prayer, listening, Christian Growth Courses, Soul Growth resources, and faithful next-step support.

    A Soul Coach is not expected to have all the answers. The course, Bible study, or Christian Growth resource provides much of the teaching. The Soul Coach provides presence, encouragement, prayer, reflection, accountability, and support.

    Soul Coaches help people grow spiritually, personally, and relationally through Christian encouragement, prayer, listening, reflection, accountability, and course-connected support. They do not take over another person’s life. Instead, they help a living soul notice God’s work, engage Christian Growth resources, and respond with faith, wisdom, and courage.

    Credential Requirement

    Clergy Standing with Christian Leaders Alliance

    All Christian Leaders Alliance coaching roles carry clergy standing within their approved role, training level, endorsement, and credential status.

    The Soul Coach role is recognized as a Christian clergy role within the Christian Leaders Alliance credentialing structure. This means the Soul Coach serves with ministry recognition, role clarity, and accountability.

    Clergy standing does not mean every coaching role has the same ministry authority, public function, or legal recognition in every setting. Local laws, institutional policies, background checks, and role-specific requirements may apply.

    Program Outcomes

    Those who complete the Soul Coach Ordination Credential pathway will be prepared to receive the Soul Coach Ordination Credential through Christian Leaders Alliance and serve with clergy standing within the approved Soul Coach role and scope.

    Step Two: Confirm or Complete the Endorsement Process

    Confirm or Complete the Endorsement Process
    Level One Endorsement
    A Level One Endorsement affirms that a trusted Christian leader recognizes your Christian character, spiritual maturity, integrity, and readiness to serve as a Soul Coach within the Christian Leaders Alliance.

    If you have already achieved Level One Endorsement, you may move on to the next step. Many students have already completed this endorsement through another Christian Leaders Alliance credential pathway, such as the Wedding Officiant Ordination Program. If so, this requirement has already been fulfilled.

    The endorsement process helps confirm that Soul Coaches demonstrate a growing walk with Jesus Christ, biblical integrity, servant leadership, humility, compassionate listening, respectful boundaries, confidentiality awareness, and a heart to encourage others as they take faithful next steps under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

    Because Soul Coaches often walk alongside people during seasons of spiritual growth and life transition, this endorsement also reflects your commitment to serving with wisdom, accountability, grace, and Christ-centered encouragement within your church, Soul Center, ministry, family, workplace, or local community.

    As an Ordained Soul Coach, your student profile may be publicly displayed as your official clergy profile in the Christian Leaders Alliance Directory.

    This profile serves as part of your recognized ministry credential, so it is important to present it with clarity, humility, warmth, and professionalism.

    Write your ministry profile thoughtfully. Highlight how God has stirred your heart for Soul Coaching, the training you are pursuing for this calling, and the kinds of churches, Soul Centers, small groups, Christian Growth Course settings, family or relational circles, one-on-one mentorship opportunities, volunteer ministries, or local communities where you hope to serve.

    You may include areas such as:

    • Christian encouragement and faithful next-step support
    • Prayer support by permission
    • Listening, reflection, and accountability
    • Christian Growth Course support
    • Soul Growth Plan encouragement
    • One-on-one mentoring conversations
    • Small group or Soul Center support

    A Soul Center within the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) is a locally registered Christian religious society designed to serve a specific community or relational circle with Spirit-led presence, discipleship, Christian encouragement, prayer, and practical ministry support.

    Soul Centers are led or supported by credentialed Christian leaders who are trained and recognized through the Christian Leaders Alliance. These leaders affirm the CLA Statement of Faith and follow best practices for serving with accountability, humility, role clarity, and Christ-centered care.

    For an Ordained Soul Coach, a Soul Center can provide a local or relational ministry setting where Christian Growth resources, prayerful conversations, listening, reflection, accountability, and faithful next-step encouragement can be offered in a structured and supportive way.

    The core purpose of a Soul Center is to function as a local expression of Christian ministry—a gathering, support, and discipleship hub where people can grow as living souls before God through biblical encouragement, prayer, Christian Growth Courses, Soul Growth resources, and relational ministry.
