CLI strives to bring you professors who have expertise in a subject, but sometimes there are differences in beliefs/opinions/teachings that CLI and/or some students might not agree with. Additionally, due to the nature of the subject of World History covering various people groups and cultures with different ideas of modesty, images containing nudity may be present in some materials.
Assignments
1. Read online articles as assigned. You may also save these articles to your own computer for further study. You will be tested separately on this material.
2. View all video lectures online. You will be tested separately on this material.
3. Use the discussion forum to ask questions and exchange ideas with others. However, DO NOT discuss quiz questions and answers in a class forum, and do not communicate privately with other students about the answers for a quiz. That is cheating. Such cheating on quizzes can be detected through CLI's computer servers. Cheaters will fail the class and will be expelled from Christian Leaders Institute.
4. Take unit quizzes online covering the readings and videos. You will have 45 minutes to answer each 20 question quiz. Once a quiz has started, you must finish it, and you can't retake it. So be ready ahead of time. While taking the quiz, you may use your notes and refer to articles and other materials.
a. If your computer crashes or you lose your internet connection during a quiz attempt, you might get a zero on a quiz. If that happens, contact Help Desk (helpdesk@christianleaders.net), explain the problem, and ask Help Desk to delete the failed quiz attempt so that you can take the quiz again. However, if you simply don't do well on a quiz because you didn't know many answers, don't ask to take the quiz again; you won't be allowed.
b. Tips for taking quizzes: Print out the readings for each unit, or save them in a folder on your computer. If you don't know a quiz answer, you can refer back to an article or to your notes. First answer all the questions you know. Then try to look up answers to questions you don't know. When you have entered an answer for every question, submit the quiz for grading before the 45-minute time limit. If you have studied all videos and all readings ahead of time, you probably can answer most of the questions in just a few minutes and spend the remaining time looking up answers that you don't know. However, if you have not studied ahead of time, 45 minutes won't be enough time to look up answers to all the questions you don't know.
*The course has a total of 240 points: 1 point for each quiz question.Grading Scale

The forum is a great way to post a question or comment for other students who are currently enrolled in the course to see. Additionally, you can search the forum to see if anyone in the past has addressed or discussed the issue, question, or comment you were wanting to post about.
