Are You Called to Be a Minister of the Word?

The Minister of the Word Program and Commissioning Course is designed to guide and support you on your journey toward becoming an ordained Minister of the Word through the Christian Leaders Alliance. Whether you’re just beginning or nearing the completion of your training, this course provides a step-by-step pathway toward recognized clergy status and ministry leadership.

🎓 Who Is This Program For?

This program is for you if:

✅ You have completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Christian Leaders Institute and are ready to be ordained as a Minister of the Word.
✅ You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree and are dual-enrolled in the ordination program.
✅ You are studying toward the Minister of the Word Award at CLI’s Christian Development School and wish to be dual-enrolled with CLA.
✅ You are just beginning your studies and have long-term goals of becoming a Minister of the Word—this course will guide you.
✅ You have completed a ministry Master’s Degree at an accredited seminary or Bible college and want to be ordained with Christian Leaders Alliance.

✝️ What Is the Minister of the Word?

The Minister of the Word is a distinguished clergy role that reflects:

Deep biblical knowledge
Proven ministry competence
A life of Christian character and calling

This role qualifies you to serve in leadership, pastoral care, preaching, officiating ceremonies, mentoring future leaders, and more. Upon completion, you are recognized as an ordained clergy member with the option to use the traditional title “Reverend.”

🪜 Steps to Become a Minister of the Word

Step 1: Enroll in the Minister of the Word Program
Register through Christian Leaders Institute and begin the Minister of the Word & Commissioning Course.

Step 2: Complete the Course Requirements
Finish all educational and ministry skill modules assigned in the program.

Step 3: Complete Level Three Endorsement
Secure three strong endorsements from mentors or Christian leaders who can affirm your readiness for ministry.

Step 4: Update Your CLI and CLA Profiles
Ensure your profiles reflect your testimony, goals, and ministry background.

Step 5: Submit Your Story (Optional)
Share your journey of faith and calling to inspire others and encourage the CLI community.

Step 6: Order Your Credentials
Receive your official Minister of the Word certificate, ID, and clergy credentials.

Step 7: Participate in a Commissioning Service (Optional)
Celebrate your ordination through a local church or online commissioning event.

Step 8: Register a Soul Center (Optional)
Consider starting a ministry-focused Soul Center in your community as part of your long-term ministry leadership.

Bachelor of Christian Leadership Degree or
Bachelor of Divinity Degree or
Minister of the Word Award
