The Church Planting Award recognizes students who are preparing to launch and lead new faith communities with biblical vision, practical leadership skills, and a heart for reaching others with the Gospel. Through training in theology, leadership, preaching, outreach, and ministry development, this award equips students to help establish churches and ministry communities that glorify God and multiply disciples.

Courses completed for the Church Planting Award are recognized in the Leadership Excellence School and may be applied toward ministry and leadership degree programs. This award also prepares students for ordination pathways through the Christian Leaders Alliance, including roles such as Church Planting Minister or House Church Minister, while equipping them to discern, launch, and lead new expressions of church with biblical wisdom and evangelistic passion.
