Class Note 8: Overview of Academic Policies
Introduction
Welcome to Lesson 3! In this lesson, we'll explore the academic policies that govern our micro-school. Understanding these policies is essential to your success as a student.
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance and active participation in our online community are crucial to your academic success. Our attendance policy is as follows:
● Students are expected to log in to the online platform regularly and participate in discussions with other students across Africa via TLFBN Africa Hub on the CLI website.
● Attendance will be tracked through offline/online engagement with class lessons, including posting and commenting within TLFBN Africa students' WhatsApp group and submitting assignments to the TLFBN Aftica Instructors.
● Students who miss more than two consecutive weeks or 4 classes offline (Classes are held 2 times a week, Saturday and Sunday) may be considered inactive and risk being withdrawn from the program.
Assignment Submission Policy
Submitting assignments on time is critical to your academic progress. Our assignment submission policy is as follows:
● Assignments are due on a specified due date and time which will be communicated to students by the TLFBN Africa instructor.
● Late submissions will incur a penalty unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor.
● Students are responsible for ensuring their assignments are submitted correctly and on time.
