Bible Study: The Final Charge – Victory in Spiritual Warfare

Session 36: This Is It – The Last Session

Opening Reflection

Welcome back. This is session 36 of our Spiritual Warfare Bible study course—the final session. What a journey! We’ve examined Scripture, explored spiritual realities, and grown stronger in our understanding and readiness for battle. Let this last study be a commissioning moment as you step forward fully equipped for your calling.

Part 1: Final Reminders in the Fight

1. We Are in a War with a Real Enemy

"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." —1 Peter 5:8 (WEB)

Spiritual warfare is not metaphorical. It is real. The enemy targets our faith, families, and ministries. But we are not alone or unequipped.

2. You Are in the Battle

Whether you recognize it or not, you're on the battlefield. Passive Christianity is not an option. Prepare your heart and life for daily engagement.

"Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand." —Ephesians 6:13 (WEB)

3. Start with the Filling of the Holy Spirit

Even Jesus began His ministry after being filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:22). The apostles were told to wait for power from on high (Acts 1:8).

"Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs." —Ephesians 5:18-19 (WEB)

4. Daily Dependence and Prayer

Let your life be rooted in Spirit-filled prayer and worship. Sing. Rejoice. Confess. Listen. Intercede. It is your lifeline in battle.

5. Check Your Armor and Heart

Stay alert to your spiritual condition:

  • Are you walking in truth?

  • Are you guarding your heart with righteousness?

  • Are you resting in salvation?

  • Are you wielding the Word of God?

When you fall, remember the grace of confession and repentance.

6. Remember Whose You Are

"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." —1 John 4:4 (WEB)

You are a child of the King. Your authority flows from Jesus. The battle is not won by strength but by surrender.

7. Victory Is Assured

"We win, hallelujah, we win... I read the back of the book and we win."

We are not fighting for victory; we are fighting from victory.

Part 2: Worship as Warfare

🎶 We're fighting a battle You've already won...

Let this anthem ring in your heart:

  • Jesus is your hope, your defense, your provision.

  • The Spirit guides and empowers you.

  • The cross and resurrection are your guarantee.

"I’ll fix my eyes on Jesus Christ. I’ll say that it is well. I know how the story ends: We will be with You again."

Part 3: Final Blessings and Commissioning

Adapted from Charles Kraft's Christianity with Power, here are five blessings to carry into your ministry:

Blessing 1: Fullness of Faith

May God give you the hunger to discover and practice all that Christianity was meant to be.

Blessing 2: Eyes to See the Unseen

May your worldview shift. Like Elisha's servant, may your eyes be opened to the spiritual reality around you.

Blessing 3: Holy Courage

May you walk in daring faith. Take bold steps into new territory for the Kingdom.

Blessing 4: Spiritual Authority and Grace

May the Spirit of God work powerfully through you. May you walk in humility, patience, and strength.

Blessing 5: Deeper Intimacy with God

May your relationship with Christ deepen. May His love shine through your life in tangible, powerful ways.

Final Charge

"Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." —Matthew 25:23 (WEB)

You are now commissioned. Go forward with the gospel. Face spiritual battles with faith. You are not alone.

🔥 Go in power.

🎉 You’ve already won in Christ.

Discussion Questions:

  1. How has your understanding of spiritual warfare changed during this study?

  2. What new practices will you implement in your spiritual life moving forward?

  3. Which of the five final blessings speaks most to your current season?

  4. In what area of your life do you need to remind yourself that the battle is already won?

Prayer to End: Heavenly Father, thank You for this journey. Thank You for revealing Your truth and equipping us for the battle. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen our resolve. Teach us to walk boldly in victory, loving others, and glorifying You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
