In this video, we will explore what it means to coach in the way of Jesus.
A Life Coach Ministry Practice is not secular self-improvement with Christian language added later. It is built on the life, teaching, compassion, truth, and mission of Jesus Christ.
Jesus met people personally.
He listened.
He asked questions.
He told the truth.
He restored dignity.
He called people to repentance, faith, and faithful living.
A Life Coach Minister is not Jesus. The minister does not save, heal, or transform with the authority of Christ. But the minister does learn from the way Jesus cared for people.
Jesus began with presence.
He noticed people others ignored — the sick, ashamed, grieving, confused, guilty, proud, and spiritually hungry. He did not treat people as interruptions. He received them as image-bearers before God.
That is where life coaching ministry begins.
The Life Coach Minister sees the person, not just the problem.
Someone may come with anger, grief, fear, confusion, habits, relationship pressure, or calling questions. The minister begins with care.
Jesus also asked wise questions.
He asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
He asked, “Why are you afraid?”
He asked, “Do you believe?”
Questions helped people reveal desire, fear, faith, confusion, and need.
Life coaching ministry uses questions in that same spirit — not to manipulate or control, but to help the person tell the truth before God.
A Life Coach Minister may ask:
“What do you hope will change?”
“What have you already tried?”
“Where do you sense God inviting you to grow?”
“What would faithfulness look like now?”
Jesus also told the truth.
He did not flatter people into comfort. He did not leave people in sin. He loved people with truth and grace together.
That matters for life coaching ministry.
A Life Coach Minister does not simply affirm every desire. The minister helps the person bring goals, fears, wounds, decisions, and desires under the Lordship of Christ.
A person may say, “I want peace.”
The minister may ask, “Is this the peace of Christ, or the peace of avoidance?”
A person may say, “I want confidence.”
The minister may ask, “Confidence for what — to love, obey, serve, and grow?”
Coaching in the way of Jesus helps people seek faithfulness, not merely comfort.
Jesus also honored the whole person.
He cared about bodies, souls, relationships, families, work, worship, habits, forgiveness, and calling.
The Life Coach Minister learns to see each person as a living soul before God — spiritual and physical, relational and responsible, wounded and called.
An angry person is more than anger.
A grieving person is more than grief.
A fearful person is more than fear.
A person is a living soul before God.
Jesus also sent people into faithful living.
He said, “Go, and sin no more.”
He said, “Follow me.”
He said, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you.”
This is why life coaching ministry includes commissioning.
The goal is not merely for a person to feel encouraged. The goal is for the person to return to life with greater faithfulness, love, courage, repentance, wisdom, and calling.
In this course, we use the pathway:
Care.
Discernment.
Transformation.
Commissioning.
Jesus shows us this pattern.
A Life Coach Ministry Practice follows it humbly and carefully.
The Life Coach Minister does not replace the church, pastor, counselor, physician, attorney, financial advisor, or emergency responder.
The minister serves within a clear Christian ministry role.
That role includes listening, prayer by permission, wise questions, Scripture-rooted encouragement, practical formation, and referral when needs go beyond coaching.
That is coaching in the way of Jesus.
Not pressure.
Not control.
Not therapy.
Not self-help with religious language.
It is faithful presence, biblical truth, wise questions, practical formation, and humble commissioning under the Lordship of Christ.
The Life Coach Minister serves in the spirit of Jesus.
Not as the Savior.
But as a servant of the Savior.
