🎥 Video 12A Transcript: From Transformation to Commissioning
Hi, I am Haley, a Christian Leaders Institute presenter.
In this video, we will talk about moving from transformation to commissioning.
Life Coach Ministry Practice is not only about helping someone feel better.
It is not only about helping someone understand their story.
It is not only about helping someone complete a course, memorize a verse, build a habit, or make a better decision.
Those things matter.
But the goal is bigger.
The Life Coach Minister helps people move through a pathway of:
Care. Discernment. Transformation. Commissioning.
Care receives the person with prayerful listening.
Discernment helps the person notice what is really happening beneath the surface.
Transformation helps the person take Spirit-led next steps.
Commissioning helps the person return to everyday life with purpose, love, courage, and calling.
Commissioning asks:
“Now that God is working in you, how will you live this out?”
A person may come to a Life Coach Minister because of anger.
Through care, the person feels heard.
Through discernment, the person sees patterns of wounded reactivity, pride, fear, exhaustion, or control.
Through transformation, the person practices repentance, prayer, Scripture, accountability, and a new response pattern.
But commissioning asks:
“How will this new peace affect your marriage, family, workplace, church, and witness?”
A person may come because of low confidence.
Through care, the person names fear.
Through discernment, the person sees shame, comparison, family patterns, or spiritual lies.
Through transformation, the person learns to stand in Christ-given dignity.
But commissioning asks:
“How will this courage become service?”
A person may come because of aging parent stress.
Through care, the person names grief and pressure.
Through discernment, the person sees family dynamics, stewardship limits, honor, exhaustion, and practical needs.
Through transformation, the person builds a wise plan.
But commissioning asks:
“How will you love your parent, your family, yourself, and God faithfully in this season?”
Commissioning keeps life coaching ministry from becoming self-focused.
The person is not only healed for private relief.
The person is formed for faithful love.
This is deeply biblical.
Jesus healed people, forgave people, taught people, and restored people. But He also sent people.
He told people to go, testify, forgive, serve, follow, reconcile, bear fruit, and make disciples.
The Christian life is not only rescue from pain.
It is restoration for love and mission.
A Life Coach Minister should not rush commissioning. Some people are still in pain. Some need safety. Some need counseling. Some need rest. Some need time.
Commissioning must never become pressure.
But when the person is ready, the Life Coach Minister can ask:
“What faithful step is God inviting you to take now?”
“Who will be blessed if you live this growth out?”
“What relationship needs your new pattern of love?”
“What responsibility has become clearer?”
“What calling may be emerging?”
“How can this transformation become a gift to others?”
Commissioning does not always mean a public ministry role.
Sometimes commissioning means apologizing to a spouse.
Sometimes it means joining a Bible study.
Sometimes it means calling an adult child.
Sometimes it means getting counseling.
Sometimes it means resting without guilt.
Sometimes it means serving in church.
Sometimes it means starting a Soul Center.
Sometimes it means mentoring someone else.
Sometimes it means returning to work with peace instead of bitterness.
Sometimes it means telling the truth without rage.
Commissioning is not about spiritual performance.
It is about faithful love.
What not to do:
Do not pressure a person to serve before they are stable.
Do not use commissioning to avoid deeper care.
Do not make the person prove their growth publicly.
Do not turn healing into performance.
Do not confuse calling with busyness.
Instead, help the person ask:
“Lord, how do I now live faithfully in the life You have given me?”
That is commissioning.
A Life Coach Minister helps people receive care, discern truth, practice transformation, and then walk back into life as embodied souls before God.
They are not sent alone.
They are sent with prayer, Scripture, community, wisdom, and the presence of Christ.
