🎥 Video 2A Transcript: What Is Christian Leaders Institute?

Hi, I am Henry Reyenga, a Christian Leaders Institute presenter.

In this session, we are asking a basic question:

What is Christian Leaders Institute?

Pastor, if you are new to Christian Leaders Institute, or CLI, think of it as an accessible online ministry training platform designed to help Christians grow in biblical knowledge, ministry skills, leadership readiness, and personal calling.

CLI exists to make Christian training more available to more people. Many faithful believers sense a call to serve, but they may not have easy access to traditional ministry education. Some are working full-time. Some are raising families. Some live far from a Bible college or seminary. Some are retired. Some are young adults or homeschool students looking for a Christian education pathway. Some are already serving in church but need more preparation.

Christian Leaders Institute helps meet that need.

CLI offers courses in Bible, theology, ministry, leadership, chaplaincy, officiant skills, coaching, discipleship, church planting, communication, and many other areas. These courses can help ordinary church members become more grounded, more confident, and more useful in local ministry.

But here is the important point for pastors:

CLI is not meant to replace the local church.

A course can teach. A course can guide. A course can give structure. But a course does not know your congregation the way you do. A course does not observe a person’s humility, family life, doctrine, teachability, emotional maturity, or local ministry fruit the way a pastor, elder, deacon, or church mentor can.

That is why this course keeps repeating the framework:

CLI trains. CLA recognizes. The local church mentors and deploys.

Imagine a church member named Maria. She loves Scripture and has been helping with women’s Bible study. Her pastor sees her faithfulness but knows she needs more biblical grounding and confidence. CLI can give Maria training. Her local church can mentor her, discuss what she is learning, observe her growth, and eventually help her serve in a more defined role.

That is a healthy use of CLI.

A pastor may wonder, “Will my members become disconnected from our church if they study online?” They do not need to. In fact, when pastors use CLI intentionally, online training can become more connected to the church, not less.

CLI can become a tool in the pastor’s hand for equipping the saints.

Christian Leaders Institute helps churches train more leaders for local ministry, local discipleship, local care, and gospel multiplication.
