🎥 Video 10C Transcript: Reaching More People Through More Ministers

Hi, I am Henry Reyenga, president of Christian Leaders Institute.

In this video, we are going to talk about reaching more people through more ministers.

Every church wants to reach people. Pastors pray for families, neighbors, young adults, children, seniors, seekers, the lonely, the wounded, the spiritually confused, and those who have drifted from faith.

But here is a simple truth:

More trained ministers create more gospel touchpoints.

A gospel touchpoint is a moment where someone encounters Christian presence, Scripture, prayer, encouragement, care, wisdom, or invitation.

One pastor can create some gospel touchpoints.

A mobilized church can create many.

Think about the difference.

One pastor may visit a hospital room.

But several trained chaplains can visit hospitals, nursing homes, shut-ins, and grieving families.

One pastor may officiate a wedding.

But trained wedding officiants can serve more brides and grooms with biblical marriage preparation and dignified ceremonies.

One pastor may lead a funeral.

But trained funeral officiants can bring Scripture, comfort, and follow-up care to more families.

One pastor may mentor a young adult.

But trained life coach ministers and discipleship mentors can walk with many believers as they discern calling and take faithful next steps.

One pastor may lead one Bible study.

But trained micro church leaders can open homes across neighborhoods.

This is not about replacing the pastor.

It is about multiplying Christian presence.

The word “minister” should not be reserved only for the person on the platform. Every Christian is called to serve. Some are called into recognized ministry roles. Some serve as volunteers. Some serve part-time. Some serve full-time. Some serve quietly without title. But the church grows stronger when more believers are trained and mobilized.

A church with more trained ministers can reach people in more settings:

Homes.

Hospitals.

Schools where permitted.

Workplaces.

Senior living communities.

Coffee shops.

Neighborhoods.

Funeral homes.

Weddings.

Small groups.

Digital communities.

Local service projects.

Family networks.

This matters because many people may not come first to a church building.

But they may receive prayer from a chaplain.

They may attend a house gathering.

They may ask a life coach minister for guidance.

They may hear the gospel at a funeral.

They may reconnect through a wedding ceremony.

They may join a Bible study in a home.

They may talk with a trained Christian leader at work.

The more faithful leaders a church trains, the more pathways of witness become possible.

Pastor, imagine your church not as one ministry location, but as a living network of Christian presence.

The Sunday gathering remains vital. The Word is preached. The congregation worships. The sacraments or ordinances are honored according to your tradition. The body is strengthened.

Then the church scatters.

Each trained leader carries the love and truth of Christ into a particular setting.

This is how church growth becomes more than attendance.

It becomes multiplication.

More disciples.

More servants.

More ministers.

More homes.

More care.

More witness.

More people reached.

Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance exist to support this kind of multiplication. CLI provides accessible training. CLA provides study-based ordination and public ministry recognition. The local church provides calling discernment, endorsement, oversight, prayer, commissioning, and real ministry opportunity.

Together, this ecosystem can help pastors reach more people through more ministers.

The harvest is plentiful.

The needs are real.

The pastor is not alone.

God has placed gifts in the body.

When those gifts are trained, recognized, and mobilized, the church becomes a multiplying witness for the spread of Christianity.
