Worksheet 2.4: Safety, Support, and Seven-Day Stability Map

Participant Privacy Reminder

This worksheet is private by default.

You are not required to upload this worksheet. You may share selected insights with a trusted ministry leader, pastor, chaplain, life coach minister, counselor, support person, or group leader only if you choose.

Do not write down court details, private messages, medical information, sexual history, trauma details, financial account numbers, or identifying information that would be unsafe to share or store.

The goal is not to expose your life.

The goal is to help you name what needs stability and choose one faithful step for the next seven days.

Purpose

This worksheet helps you slow down, identify what needs attention first, ask for appropriate support, and create a simple seven-day stabilization plan.

You are not trying to solve everything.

You are asking:

What needs safety?
What needs support?
What needs a plan?
What can wait?
What is one faithful step I can take this week?

Movement 1: Pause and Pray

Find a quiet moment if possible. Take one slow breath.

You may place your hand over your heart or open your hands as a sign of surrender to Christ.

Pray:

Lord Jesus, meet me in the real pressures of this week. Help me name what needs stability without shame. Give me wisdom to know what is urgent, courage to seek support, and peace to take one faithful step. Help me care for my children, my body, my responsibilities, and my soul with honor and self-respect. Amen.

Before continuing, gently notice:

Today, I feel:

[ ] tired
[ ] anxious
[ ] numb
[ ] overwhelmed
[ ] angry
[ ] lonely
[ ] hopeful
[ ] ashamed
[ ] pressured
[ ] calm
[ ] unsure
[ ] grateful
[ ] other: ____________________

One sentence I can pray honestly today:

Lord Jesus, _____________________________________________________________

Movement 2: Notice and Name

1. Immediate Safety Check

Before ordinary planning, ask whether there is immediate danger or serious risk.

Is there any concern involving:

[ ] unsafe housing
[ ] lack of food
[ ] substance-impaired danger
[ ] violation of a court order
[ ] fear that someone may harm me or my children
[ ] no immediate safety concern that I know of

If there is immediate danger, pause this worksheet and seek appropriate help. That may include emergency services, a domestic-violence hotline, legal support, child protection authorities, a medical professional, a counselor, a pastor, or another qualified support person.

Faith does not require you to ignore danger.

Forgiveness does not require unsafe access.

Christian hope does not mean pretending danger is only stress.

If there is no current safety concern, write:

“At this time, I do not know of an immediate safety concern.”

Support needed: _______________________________________________________

Gentle Review

At the end of seven days, I will ask:

What helped?

What was too much?

What still needs support?

Where did I notice God’s care?

What is the next faithful step?

Portfolio Statement

Write a short statement you may include in your private Single Mother Growth Portfolio.

This week, I am learning that stability does not mean perfection. With Christ’s help, I can name what needs attention, protect safety, seek support, care for my children, honor my body, and take one faithful step at a time.

My personal stability statement:

Closing Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You that I do not have to solve everything today. Give me daily bread for this week. Help me know what is urgent, what can wait, what needs support, and what belongs to You. Teach me to love my children with patience, ask for help with self-respect, protect safety with wisdom, and care for my body as a God-designed woman. Lead me into one faithful step and surround me with wise support. Amen.
