4. False-Label Release Reflection
Use the pattern below.
False label I have carried:
What this label has cost me:
Why this label is not my deepest identity in Christ:
Truth I am learning to receive:
A Scripture truth that speaks to this label:
A sentence I can practice this week:
“In Christ, I am ____________________________________________.”
5. Christian Hope Statement
Now write a truthful Christian hope statement.
This statement should be honest. Do not pretend everything is solved. Do not force a happy ending. Let your statement include both reality and hope.
You may use this pattern:
“In Christ, I am ____________________. My story includes ____________________, but it does not define my worth. As a mother, I am learning ____________________. As a God-designed woman, I am receiving ____________________. With God’s help, I will take one faithful step by ____________________.”
My Christian Hope Statement:
Optional example:
In Christ, I am a beloved daughter of God. My story includes pain and pressure, but it does not define my worth. As a mother, I am learning to love my children with grace and wisdom. As a God-designed woman, I am receiving self-respect, confidence, and hope. With God’s help, I will take one faithful step by asking for support instead of carrying shame alone.
6. One Faithful Step
This week, I will practice my identity in Christ by:
reading my Christian hope statement once a day
replacing one false label with truth
asking one trusted person for prayer
speaking kindly to myself when shame rises
creating one peaceful moment with my child
setting one wise boundary
refusing to answer a message while emotionally flooded
taking care of my body with rest, food, movement, or medical care
attending worship or connecting with Christian community
asking for counseling, pastoral care, legal guidance, or practical help if needed
practicing confidence around a man without fear, bitterness, or desperation
something else: ______________________
My one faithful step is:
When will I take this step?
Who could support me, pray for me, or help me follow through?
7. Support and Safety Check
Is there anything in my situation that needs support beyond this worksheet?
immediate danger
threats
stalking
coercive control
sexual assault
child safety concern
self-harm thoughts
severe depression or anxiety
housing crisis
food insecurity
legal concern
medical concern
trauma symptoms
unsafe contact with someone
none of these right now
not sure
If any serious safety concern is present, consider reaching out to appropriate emergency services, a trusted pastor or ministry leader, a licensed counselor, a domestic-violence agency, legal counsel, medical support, or another qualified helper according to your situation.
Christian identity should never be used to pressure unsafe contact, silence, rushed forgiveness, or denial of harm.
8. Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that my deepest name is not shame, rejection, marital status, or fear. Thank You that I belong to You. Help me live as a beloved daughter of God, a faithful mother, and a God-designed woman. Teach me to reject false labels, receive truth, love my children wisely, relate with self-respect, and walk forward with honor and hope. Amen.
