Video 12B: A Ninety-Day Life, Parenting, Womanhood, and Hope Rule of Life

In this lesson, we focus on your ninety-day rule of life.

A rule of life is not a harsh rulebook. It is a life-giving rhythm.

It helps you ask, “What practices will help me stay close to Christ, love my children, care for my body, seek support, and walk with wisdom?”

For a Christian single mother, a rule of life must be realistic.

It cannot assume endless time, endless money, endless energy, or perfect cooperation from other people.

It should fit real life.

Your ninety-day rule of life may include a small daily prayer, a weekly worship rhythm, one support conversation, one household routine, one parenting practice, one rest practice, and one way to review boundaries.

It may include a plan for when you feel lonely, overwhelmed, angry, tempted, afraid, or emotionally exhausted.

It may include sexual self-care discernment.

That means you are honest about desire, loneliness, attraction, touch hunger, stress, and future hope. You bring these things to Christ with wisdom and self-respect. You do not let shame, secrecy, pornography, fantasy, hookups, or male approval master you.

First Corinthians 6:12 gives a helpful question: Is this beneficial, and is anything mastering me?

A faithful rule of life helps you notice what strengthens love for Christ and what weakens it.

It also includes your children.

What rhythm helps your child feel loved and secure?

Maybe it is bedtime prayer. Maybe it is a Saturday breakfast. Maybe it is reading together. Maybe it is a calmer morning routine. Maybe it is protecting your child from adult conflict.

Your rule of life should also include support.

Who can you contact before the crisis grows?

Who can pray with you?

Who can help with practical needs?

Who can give wise counsel about parenting, finances, dating, church belonging, or emotional stress?

You may also include professional help where needed. Counselors, doctors, legal advisers, financial coaches, pastors, mentors, and crisis resources each have different roles.

Seeking help early is not failure. It is wisdom.

Romans 15:13 says, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.”

Your rule of life is one way to make room for hope to become practical.

Reflection question: What one rhythm would make the next ninety days more stable, faithful, and hopeful?

Gentle next step: Choose one daily rhythm, one weekly rhythm, and one support person to include in your plan.
