Video 12A: People Skill Confidence Grows Through Practice

Hi, I am Haley Steiner, a CLI presenter.

This course is taught by Rev. Henry Reyenga and Attorney/Pastor Brian DeCook.

Welcome to our final topic. Congratulations on completing this journey of Christian growth.

Throughout this course you have discovered that people skill confidence is not about becoming impressive, outgoing, or socially perfect. It is about becoming more like Christ in the way you relate to people.

You have learned that you are an organic human created by God. You are an embodied soul with both a spiritual and physical nature. Your thoughts, words, posture, listening, questions, and relationships all matter to God because He is forming your whole life.

Real confidence develops through faithful practice.

Every conversation gives you another opportunity to practice agape love. Every interaction is another opportunity to listen before speaking, ask thoughtful questions, speak with warmth and truth, honor healthy boundaries, and seek the Peacefire rather than the Wildfire.

You may still feel nervous in some situations. That does not mean you are failing. Confidence is not the absence of discomfort. Confidence is the growing willingness to love faithfully even when you feel uncertain.

Growth is usually gradual. One kind conversation. One better question. One wise boundary. One apology. One act of hospitality. One peaceful response after another.

God often shapes us through ordinary moments.

As you continue forward, remember that your inward conversation matters. Continue speaking to yourself with truth, grace, correction, courage, and hope before God. Your inward words influence your outward relationships.

Keep asking yourself:

How can I honor this person?

How can I reflect Christ here?

What would agape love do next?

Jesus continues His work in you. The Holy Spirit continues to shape your heart. You do not graduate from discipleship. You continue walking with Christ every day.

This course is ending, but your growth is not.
