Hi, I am Haley Steiner, a CLI presenter.

This course is taught by Rev. Henry Reyenga and Attorney/Pastor Brian DeCook.

Welcome to Resilient Scriptural Self-Conversation.

This Christian Growth Course is about the conversation happening inside you.

Every person has an inner conversation. Sometimes it is hopeful. Sometimes it is fearful. Sometimes it is accusing. Sometimes it repeats old wounds, old failures, old names, or old lies.

You may wake up and hear, “I am behind.”
“I am not enough.”
“I always fail.”
“No one understands.”
“God must be disappointed in me.”
“I cannot change.”

This course begins with a simple truth: you are not a machine. You are not a label. You are not your worst day. You are not only your emotions, your body, your pain, your sin, your fear, or your past.

You are an organic human created by God.

You are an embodied soul. You have spiritual life before God, and you also live in a real body with a brain, nervous system, emotions, memories, habits, and needs.

God cares about the whole person.

Genesis 1:27 says that God created human beings in His image. Psalm 139 says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that anyone who belongs to Christ is a new creation.

That means your inner conversation can be renewed.

This course will not ask you to pretend pain is not real. It will not shame you for struggling. It will not tell you that one Bible verse will instantly erase every fear, wound, or habit.

Instead, this course invites you to bring your inner life to Jesus Christ.

You will learn to pause, notice, name what is happening, welcome Scripture, listen for the Holy Spirit’s invitation, practice a new sentence, and take one faithful step.

This week, begin gently.

Ask yourself: What sentence do I repeat inside most often?

Then pray:

Lord Jesus, help me notice my inner conversation with grace. Help me welcome Your truth into the places where fear, shame, sadness, temptation, or bitterness have been speaking too loudly. Teach me to live as a new creation in You. Amen.
