Worksheet 2.4: My WELCOME Practice Plan

Private Participant Worksheet

This worksheet is for your private reflection. You are not required to upload it or share it with a leader, group, coach, chaplain, or facilitator.

Use this worksheet to practice welcoming Scripture and the Holy Spirit into your inner conversation. You do not need to write about anything unsafe, deeply private, or traumatic. Choose a real but manageable inner sentence to practice with.

Purpose of This Worksheet

In this topic, you are learning that Scripture belongs in the conversation inside you. You are also learning to invite the Holy Spirit into that conversation with grace, truth, discernment, and faithful action.

The WELCOME Tool gives you a simple way to pause, notice, examine, pray, and take one faithful step.

W: Wake up to the inner conversation
E: Examine it before God
L: Locate the pressure in your organic human life
C: Call Scripture into the conversation
O: Open to the Holy Spirit
M: Move with one faithful step
E: Entrust the outcome to Christ

Movement 1: Pause and Pray

Begin slowly. Take a few breaths. You are not trying to force a feeling. You are making room for God’s truth.
