Video Transcript CDS, LES, and CLA: What Each Part Does
Now let’s look more closely at the three main parts students often hear about: the Christian Development School, the Leadership Excellence School, and the Christian Leaders Alliance.
Understanding these three parts will help you see where Christian life coach training, degree opportunities, and ordination recognition fit within the larger Christian Leaders Institute ecosystem.
First, there is the Christian Development School, often called CDS.
The Christian Development School creates and offers tuition-free courses, Christian Growth Courses, ministry training, adult education awards, certificates, and diplomas.
The Christian Life Coach Program training is offered through the Christian Development School.
This is where students can begin developing skills in areas such as Christian coaching, Soul Coaching, biblical knowledge, spiritual formation, ministry leadership, and practical service.
For many students, CDS is the most natural place to begin because it is designed to be welcoming, practical, and accessible.
A student may begin with one course, explore a calling, and continue growing step by step.
Second, there is the Leadership Excellence School, often called LES.
The Leadership Excellence School is the degree-program arm of Christian Leaders Institute.
LES develops and maintains credible college-level and degree pathways for students who want broader academic preparation.
A degree is not required for every Christian life coaching role. Many students may complete the training needed for volunteer, part-time, or developed Christian coaching ministry through the Christian Development School.
Other students may choose a degree pathway because it supports their larger educational, vocational, or ministry goals.
Third, there is the Christian Leaders Alliance, often called CLA.
Christian Leaders Alliance is the ordination and credentialing arm connected to Christian Leaders Institute.
CLA is not simply about receiving a title. It provides study-based, endorsement-based, locally commissioned, and role-based ordination recognition.
For the Christian Life Coach Program, Christian Leaders Alliance recognizes qualified leaders in three roles:
The Soul Coach Ordination Credential,
the Ordained Christian Life Coach Credential,
and the Life Coach Minister Ordination Credential.
Each role has its own training requirements and ministry scope.
Christian Leaders Alliance also maintains a public clergy directory and recognizes leaders who have completed the preparation, endorsement, profile, and commissioning requirements for their role.
These distinctions matter because they help students understand what each part of the ecosystem is designed to do.
CDS helps students begin and grow through tuition-free courses and ministry training.
LES helps students pursue college-level and degree pathways.
CLA recognizes qualified leaders for defined ministry roles through study, endorsement, and local commissioning.
When you understand these roles, the pathway becomes much less confusing.
You begin to see that the ecosystem supports different levels of calling, preparation, and ministry development.
This structure also protects an important principle:
Formation comes before recognition.
Students are not encouraged to chase titles first. They are invited to begin with learning, spiritual growth, character development, and preparation.
Training comes before expanded responsibility.
Recognition follows preparation.
That is why this ecosystem matters. It gives structure to calling, direction to growth, and credible pathways for Christian service.
You can begin here, and you can grow step by step.
