THE HARDEST PART OF VOCAL WITNESS

1 Peter 3:15-16 (ESV):
"But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame."

  • These verses remind us of the importance of answering questions about our faith with readiness, gentleness, and respect.
  • Are we creating opportunities to share the hope we have in Christ? Or are we missing these moments? Knowing how to move from "here" (our current state) to "there" (actively sharing our faith) is essential to living out these instructions.
