-       His soldiers in Caesarea hated him

James had been executed, possibly in spite of their prayers

But note purpose for prayer meeting (12:5)

Their surprise:

-       “It’s his ghost!” (like Lk 24)

-       His angel:

. Some popular trad’s like angels after death

. but angel had just delivered him

-       Peter himself: a vision

-       Peter pounding on gate- neighbor’s porters?
