Student/Minister Profile Assignment

Your student/minister profile tells the world you are a servant of Christ. It helps your credibility. People may want to look you up to see that you have completed ministry courses and programs. 

It is a reasonable request because they are considering following your ministry leadership.

Step Two: Write Your First Draft Profile

Include details that help people see how Christ has changed your life and how you are now passionate to serve in ministry. 

Each of us has a ministry testimony.  What is your story?  What is your testimony?  Below are some key features of student/minister profiles to give you some ideas. 

• Start with your name and the place you are from. [As you fill this section out, if there is a challenge in your country/nation/city or state requiring your profile to be inaccessible by the public, please email our help desk at helpdesk@christianleaders.net   If, for any reason, you want your profile to be anonymous we are able to honor this for you. 
  
• Include any education you have received. 
• Tell us a little about what it is like to be a Christian Leaders Institute student where you live? 
  
• What was your childhood like? Include the spiritual journey. A few specific details are helpful.
  
• Would you please share with us how you came to know the Lord?
  
• Please share with us your spiritual dream.
  
• What obstacles did you face growing into maturity? 
  
• What events humbled you to realize that you needed Christ in your life? 
  
• When did God become real to you? 
  
• How did you come to know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? 
  
• What do you hope to use your Christian Leaders training for? 
  
• Why was free training so necessary for you? Why is a scholarship for training so important?

Step Three - Proofread Your Profile

When you become a student in higher education, you must demonstrate your writing skills. This profile assignment is that assignment for our staff to see that you can write in English. 

Christian Leaders Institute strongly suggests that you ask the following questions as you read over your student profile:

1. Does your public profile have a minimum of 300 words?
2. Have you had someone else read your profile to help your clarity?

4. Have you uploaded quality content?

This activity accomplishes several things:

1. It helps to establish our requirement to teach students who fit into our program.
2. It helps you reflect on your testimony and call into ministry.
3. It helps you pursue your studies. We have found that people who complete this activity will go on to finish more ministry training. 
4. This profile can be updated as the student minister proceeds through the various programs at Christian Leaders Institute. 

Step Four - Update Your Profile in Our System

To add your profile, all you need to do is click on the 'Profile' button on the top navigation bar in Moodle, right next to the 'Home' button. After clicking 'Profile,' you will click 'edit profile' under user details and add what you have written in the 'description' portion. Once you scroll to the bottom and click 'update profile,' you are all set. 

If you are willing to submit your profile writing assignment directly to CLI staff, the next assignment in Moodle will provide the link to do so. It will take you to our website, where you can submit. It is such an incredible blessing for the staff to read your testimonies in this way. We may even feature your story on our website to encourage other students, new or old, in their studies.
