Video Transcript: Keep Up With Your Keys (Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell)

Have you ever lost your keys? Man, you lose a keys, you feel like you don't have enough clothes on. You know, it's just a terrible feeling to lose your keys. How many of you have ever lost their keys? Frustrating, frustrating for at least two reasons. One, you can't get in your car, you can't get your house, you can't get the office, you know, you have access to access. And secondly, I just claimed this for myself, I don't know, if you ever felt like this, you just feel dumb. Like, I cannot remember where I left something as critical as my keys, can I get a witness? (The congregation answered; Amen). You can have a house, car, office, that's awfully valuable. British Joe has the key, to start the car, gain in your house. Doesn't do a lot of good. Similarly, if you leave your house unlocked, and you lose your key, you can't lock your house. And now in that case, your enemy, they work this out over here, your enemy, or worse yet your worst enemy can have the same access to your house as you do.

Why? Because you don't have your keys. I submit to you this day, that the average 21st century believer has lost their keys. I'm gonna work that a little bit. And that's one reason why some of the members of the body of Christ have so many spiritual enemies and emotional enemies in and out of your spiritual and emotional house. Because you don't have the right key to lock that bad boy down to keep the right folks in and wrong people out. If I keep up with your keys, I keep up with your keys. That is the key to it all who is the King in Jesus. But then the key has given us keys to His kingdom. And in fact, he tells us in Luke the chapter 12:32, this is so cool. He says it gives me pleasure. Oh, give me the keys to the kingdom that that access to every saying God wants you to have it is His kingdom. Somebody say hallelujah? (congregation replied) Hallelujah.

I love this in that passage. Matthew 16 chapter, there is a history making conversation going on. For the first time Jesus poses a question to all his disciples, who do man say do I say that I am. And they respond well, some say you are Elijah, some say John the Baptist, some say your Jeremiah, he says, but now let the rubber hit the road. Let me ask you, my disciples, the one who've been following me. Who do you say that I am? And Simon Peter stood up and spoke up and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Now before I break that down, let me say this is real cool. I want to make this very, very clear. Now make this very, very clear. Now make this very, very clear (at this point the congregation replied, Amen). Notice you would and you'll see it clear in about 15 minutes. Jesus wanted to make absolutely certain that Simon and others knew who he was, because of what Jesus was about to give them. A working just a ski case. Jesus wanted to make absolutely certain that before he gave them, what he was about to give them, that they knew who was about to give it to him.

One day one of our children may get a car, I don't know. They may, and before we give them the keys to the car. We're gonna make it crash really clear to him, her or them who gave you the car. Who's responsible for this car. Who wouldn't hit? If it had not been for these folks, you wouldn't have the car, and if you abuse the car, I'm taking the keys back. Jesus said I'm about to do something with you through you. I'm about to give you some keys, but before I drop these keys on you, I want you to be clear about your confession. But before I give you the fruit, I want to make sure you got the right roots, to see your fruit cannot become your roots. Before I build your house, I want to make sure you get the right foundation. Because your structure can overwhelm and crack your foundation. Before I do my works in you, I want to be clear about the word that's in you. Because my works can be so abundant and so miraculous that you get caught up in the works, and you forget about a word that has made the works possible. 

So before I give you the keys, let's be clear about this. Now who I am again, who am I again, thou art the Christ, son of the living God, you got it. So for the first time, a human being revealed the complete deity of Jesus. When you see Jesus was his name, God with us we Emmanuel, Joshua in Old Testament, but Christ was His title. So when he said, Thou art the Christ, you have to understand, even Yea, then, in the Jewish faith, Christ was understood to be the Messiah, the hope of the world, that deliverer even as a Jewish nation. So for Peter to say, thou art the Christ, that's the Christ, you in charge you overall, you're the Messiah, you're the deliverer, you're the hope of the world, you are the Christ. Hey, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, crucified, died, buried. But he got up with all power in His hands, his there anyone of the sound of my voice, who can confess for yourself that Jesus Christ, Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. And listen, let's be clear. Are you Singapore, Singapore, Singapore, woo, make it a single summit for a minute. You don't want to mess around with anybody. Who don't fumble with that question.

Now if they fumble we let the in is coming out and if they fumble with it, bring them to church. So let's go to church. Let's get some clarification on this. Even if we agree to disagree, agree, agree. I want to be clear about what you understand, and what you don't understand. So when you say jump, you will be asking how high. It'll be clear to everybody, there's a God who's knows both of us and it's not you.

Somebody say Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the only one true and living God. Yeah, you your it, Jesus your it, Jesus your it, Jesus was impressed with that. He said, haha, by golly, you've got it. Now that you know who I am, I can get ready for your future. I can get you ready for your future and your keys. So therefore, that was the 16th verse. We jump down to verse 18. upon this rock, it's gonna get good right here teaching right now. I will build my church. Pause right there. So when I say rock, with all due respect to the Catholic Church, rock in this context does not mean Peter. Because Peter denied Jesus. The church should never deny Jesus. And Jesus would not build his church upon a fragile mobile human being. What does it mean a pastor, it means a confession of Peter, the revelation that came through Peter, the power of the gospel that was spoken by Peter.

Thou art the Christ, the Son of living God, and upon this rock, this revelation this transforming gospel, I will build. Watch this now my cabinet. Oh, oh, I got you on guard. My cabinet since I built my church, the New Testament was not written in English. The original language of the New Testament is not English, It's Greek. The word here for English our church is ecclesia, ecclesia needs to me called out. Now touch three folks. It's gonna be good right here. It's gonna be good right here. Right at the, as you say right here. Right here, it's a great point Myles Munroe makes I give him credit for it. He's on the sermon notes. I give him credit for this. I'm encouraging as you know, see, we here in the 21st century Western Hemisphere. We have neutered the word ecclesia. We've just whoosh it out. We made it a supper. We say ecclesia called out, we think, oh well I am called out.

I'm, I'm holy. I'm sacrosaint. All bless the Lord. I'm gonna wait for my change to come. Glory is his name. I'm called out I'm, I'm up to God, and I am thankful. On contraire (in other words), the word ecclesia does mean called out. But it means called out with an attitude. And he's called up with some swagger. And he's called out with a spiritual swagger, or scriptural swagger and anti satanic swagger. It means you're called out to whip the devil's backside and promulgate the gospel of Jesus Christ, both in word and in deeds. What are you talking about, Pastor? I'm glad you asked the word ecclesia. Which means called out ain't cabinet, as in government mean the same thing. In fact, the word ecclesia is not, listen to me carefully. It's not a religious term. I'm gonna say it again. Cuz this, this messes with your mind and it goes against what you've been taught, gospel covenant. Ecclesia, which means church called out is not a religious term. 

What is it pastor? it's a political term, who it's a governmental term. The word ecclesia was created by the Greeks. The Greeks never got a chance the Greeks had to pull a trigger on it, because Roman Empire took them over. Caesars built his entire Empire on the concept of ecclesia. He said that be one Emperor, but the Emperor cannot be everywhere at the same time. Therefore, we'll have governors and the governor's watch this now will appoint cabinets, called ecclesia. Even in the Greek language, the secular Greek language it is, so we are pointing cabinet members to represent the King. So anything that's on the King's mind, the cabinet members are responsible for making and move what on the King's mind, and put it into the realities of the community. Whatever the King is thinking about, that's what we're supposed to do. Whatever the King says, that's what we're supposed to do. Whenever the King is above. That is what we're supposed to do. Why? Because the cabinet members, called out, ecclesia. Remember, I told you that the government shall be upon his shoulder, that government shall be upon his shoulder? This is not some missy mouse. Now I lay me down asleep, "come see come ca" (it is french for; like this - like that), where the wind blows is cool with me. 

Oh, no, baby. Oh, no, baba, your Royal Priesthood, you are a chosen generation. You have been hand picked by the King himself. To turn this upside down world, right side up. Thank you, Holy Ghost. So you handpick. See in the ecclesia Uh huh. The Emperor would hand pick the folks for his cabinet. You may not know who your mama is. You may have never met your daddy. But you are not an accident. Now that you are a believer, you've been handpick, to represent, direct present. Jesus the King in this 21st century community. Take a good look at me, I won't look like this in three months. Because now I realize I've been hand picked to be a member of Jesus cabinet. So, now you know you hand pick. What says that you got to stay close to the King, you have to commune with the King. You got to fellowship with the King. Look at cabinet members up in DC. They can't go off on their own thing, doing their own little thing, and if they do, they'll get fired. They have to do what the press says to you as a cabinet member. You can't go off on your own thing doing things willy nilly.

In fact, guess what some of you in this situation you're not because that's exactly what you did. But thanks to the God mercies are new every morning. And now that you know better, you're gonna line up with the Word of God. That's why you're going fast. When other folk talk about you, that's why you're coming to player explosion. That's when you come into prayer explosion. I must say more about it. Stay close to the King. Come here real quickly. I'm gonna get as close to him has I can. Everywhere he goes, I'm sticking close to him. Folks can talk about me all they want to. I'm staying close to the King. Because I know if I'm next to the King, I've got provision, I got protection, I've got promotion cuz great is he who is in me. Look, the King is going to look after me. Cuz I look after the King, I take care of the King, am not going to let anyone mess with the King, if the King needs it today. Your praise, I give Him praise. I give Him honor. I pay my tithes, and often. I will take care of the King, and if the King takes Care of me it's all right. Should it feel like he's not, I love the King enough to obey Him and honor Him with his midnight in my life. I don't love Him to be a sugar daddy, I love him because of His words.

Put your hands together for the King of peace. So here we go. Ecclesia, I will spend 3 minutes on this. So what that means is when there's ignats, not just ignorance, ignats, in the community, the call out the church is responsible in the minds of our students, stand up our teachers, when there's injustice, we're supposed to stand up and say no, that's not right. We not called in. We called out. We want to just go. "come si come ca" (like this like that). Oh how great we are and huddle up. And feed one of his eagles. That's not what an ecclesia do us, an ecclesia is called out on the vine assignment under the anointing and the appointing of the King to do what the King says to do.

You a believer, you are Jesus cabinet member, act like it, walk like it, talk like it, give like it, live like it, fast like it, pray like it, be like it, give God praise for like it. Punish rock up my church, ecclesia called out community, government, cabinet, and the gates of hades, shall not prevail. I guess it. This can be a stretch for somebody, but that's why you come to church, you come to church get stretch. You come to church to exercise your faith. You come to church to call those things that are not, as long as it has already done. You come to church to hear what God has said. What God says right here is that the gates of hades shall not prevail against the church. And people who are in the church that does not say you won't catch some hell. It says hell won't prevail. So you're going through hell. Keep on going. Don't stop. Don't have a tea party with anybody. Don't have a seance. Don't put up the blacklight posters. Don't pull out your boom format on 20/20. Don't put a twist on it. Don't go run into some black book you used to call fire 10 15 20 years ago you keep on going. You walk by faith, not by sight. Turn your neighbor said you're going through hades keep going. The gates of hades is not strong enough to prevail against it. 

Let's break this down for just a little bit. That means every disease disease cannot stand against the church. No disease can, no disorder can, no disorientation can, nothing. Wow, because we have been called out by Jesus and fill with His Holy Spirit. And when you set it on Christ, and feel with the breath of His power, His Holy Ghost, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The gates of hades cannot prevail against you. Is it does anybody but whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait before you clap, before you clap, before you clap. You know why haven't clapped already. You know why you haven't clapped already. You know what you haven't clap already. Because you remember the disappointment. You remember the missteps and mistakes. You remember everything you thought was going to happen but it didn't happened. And your history causes you to freeze God's future and pulverize God's presence. But here today, under the anointing of the Holy Ghost under the sound of my voice and this declaration, God's word says that the gates of hades, the gates of hell shall not prevail, I guess the people who are called by God name.

So he goes on to say, we wrap up towards the close at verse 19. It gets real good to look I got some keys for you. And just remind you notice, Jesus did not give him the keys first. So let me get make sure you know who owns these keys. I want to share the who remember that your roots are strong in your fruits. The foundation stronger then your structure. Remember that the word more potent than the works. If we get that straight with the first day, man, we had that down. And I really wish well now we have that down he said now I got some keys for you. 19 verses in fact that is right on the screen. Let's just read it again. And I will give you what the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Ah ha keys back to the key thing.

Now see, I could have a whole bunch of keys. But if I don't have the key to this it doesn't do me any good have any keys at all. So some of us walking around with wrong keys. We'll deal with that a little bit later. And then in some cases, we have the right key that unlocks the blessings of God only to find you have more keys. See, and this is why you need to come to Bible study. This is why you need to come to the festival. This is why I need to register for prayer exposure right now. Because the Lord has given you a lot of keys. But if you don't know which key to use, or worse yet you try to open up the box and it falls.

You've got lots of potential power. But if you don't know how to use the keys than having the keys does you no good. So what does this mean, let's be clear. The key is Jesus Christ. But the King Jesus gives us keys. What are the keys pastor? Scriptures.  That open up the Word of God and blesses of God, scriptures with this prayer ministry, this church, pastors and others teach us to pray the key the scriptures back to God so that God can release what He has for you.
