Enemies  (Revelation 12-13, 17)

Introduction

• Mother’s Day: Satan scared of childbirth.
• Possible overturning of Roe v. Wade.
• Enemies protest at churches on Mother’s Day!

Dragon tries to destroy child: Cain, Pharaoh, Athaliah, Haman, Herod

• Child’s victory: birth, ministry, death, resurrection
• Child's victory sparks war in heavenly realm: Michael’s angels defeat the dragon’s angels and hurl them to earth.
• “... spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Eph 6:12)
• Dragon pursues woman but fails; then he wars against her offspring.
• Satan targets mothers, babies, Jews, Christians

John sees earth from heaven’s viewpoint: visions vs. Roman propaganda: statues, buildings, festivals, engineered “miracles” in temples, Pax Romana, peace, order, security, stability, riches, pleasure

• Statist oppression: imperialist, worshiped, kill Christians, crush liberty. Beast (Dan 7) man of sin (2 Thess 2) antichrist (1 John 2:18) Antiochus, Nero 666 sword suicide, imperial Caesar dead, but revived stronger.
• Religious deception: join guild, worship gods, incense to emperor. Earth-monster. Looks like lamb, talks like dragon. Called “false prophet”
• Cultural seduction: goddess Roma = whore, witch, eternal city  =  Babylon falling. Sex, drunkenness, commerce, human trafficking. Souls for sale. MONEY!

Is the end near?

• Global government: Globalization, pandemic, nuke, climate, financial crash. Martyrs. Peers.
• Religion: TV miracle. Buying/selling, social credit rating, chips track pets (and people?), internet, social media giants.
• Prostitute Babylon: sex-crazed, drug-infested, money-hungry, everything for sale.

Shows future to unmask Satan’s current methods.

• Islam denies Trinity, state/religion/commerce.
• Communism atheist, worships leader, economy.
• Capitalist mandates, church lockdowns, firing non-compliant during pandemic, porn okay. Biden: “choose to abort a child.”  Amazon and other companies will pay a woman thousands to help her abort her child.
• Church: 5 of 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 compromise, medieval Rome, Russia, U.S. slavery, abortion, sexual revolution, civil religion.

What’s main thing about enemies? THEY LOSE!

• Sickle: Rev. 15, Horse Rev. 19. Lake of fire.
• Trinity: throne, lamb, flames/eyes vs fake trinity
• Names in Lamb’s book of life. Refuse to go along with beast, even when he seems to be winning.
• Mother/bride = holy church  vs.  Prostitute = world
