CLI wants to support students in succeeding at their studies. If a student has a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the student may request reasonable accommodations (CLI provides a time extension on the quizzes to help assist students needing reasonable accommodations). Here are the steps to receive reasonable accommodations from CLI:

1.     Take this information to an appropriate professional in the area of the perceived disability or health issue. An appropriate professional is one who holds credentials in the specific area of the disability or health concern.

2.     The Professional’s Role:

a.      Evaluate the student regarding claims of disability.

b.     Establish diagnoses regarding any student disability as defined by the American Disabilities Act. Disabilities outside of the law may be noted and clearly stated, not as a disability recognized in the ADA law.

c.      Provide on official letterhead a list of the disabilities of the student. Provide a list of accommodations that the disability(ies) identified. Please provide adequate information and the degree to which the accommodation is required to address the disability.

3.     Bring the professional's evaluation to the Student Services Office by emailing studentservices@christianleaders.net. Please note that the evaluation must include a diagnosis and accommodations the professional believes are appropriate for the student.
