What are Soul Center Practices?

What are Soul Center Practices?

1. Connecting the soul to God through reading God’s Word and praying repeatedly. We call this walking with God.

2. Sharing a walk with God with others.

3. Practicing the sacraments through the Soul Center.

4. Being a connection point for local ministry in the community.

Connection Habits

We connect the soul to God by reading God’s Word and praying repeatedly. We call this walking with God.

1Timothy 4:4-6 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

Sharing a walk with God with others

Make Disciples of Jesus Christ

Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Sacraments

Practicing the sacraments through the Soul Center. (If not part of a church)

Acts 2:37-39     When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”  Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

1Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.

Connection Point

Being a connection point for local ministry in the community.

Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
