APPLYING THE AFTERWORD 

1. What is the most important thing you learned from Pastoring: The Nuts and Bolts? How will you apply it? 

2. Many of the Application Guide questions asked you to write out something you can do to improve your ministry or church. Go back through and gather those answers into a list. 

3. Take the list you just made and divide it into three sub-lists as follows: 

a. Things you can do yourself without requiring approval or help from anyone else 

b. Things you and your leaders can do fairly easily 

c. Things that will require significant planning and preparation 

4. Prayerfully prioritize each sub-list, seeking God’s guidance about what to do first. 

5. Once a month, pray through your personal list (sub-list “a”) and revise it as God leads. 

6. At least once a year, take your leaders through the other two sub-lists and revise them as God leads. 

7. What steps will you take to share the teachings of this book with other pastors and potential pastors?
