A Christmas Chaplain is a volunteer minister who steps into one of the most meaningful and emotionally charged seasons of the year to bring presence, comfort, and Christ-centered hope.Program OverviewDuring the holidays, people experience deep joy but also loneliness, grief, stress, and spiritual searching. A Christmas Chaplain enters that space—at candlelight services, community events, holiday gatherings, or with those quietly hurting—to offer prayer, encouragement, and the good news of Jesus’ birth.
Ordained through the Christian Leaders Alliance, Christmas Chaplains embody the love and light of Christ during the Advent and Christmas season. They are commissioned not only to be a presence of compassion, but also to stand as ordained clergy with the authority to officiate life’s sacred moments—especially weddings, which often occur during the holiday season.
The ability to celebrate marriage as an ordained Wedding Officiant is a core mark of credibility, recognition, and ministry identity for every chaplain.
Program Overview
The Christmas Chaplain Ordination Program is a structured training pathway that equips you to serve effectively during Christmas and beyond. It provides your pathway to ordination and clergy credentialing through the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA).
As an ordained chaplain, you are recognized as someone who not only brings presence and prayer in times of need but also carries the authority to conduct weddings, blessings, and other sacred services. The Wedding Officiant role is not a side skill—it is a central expression of your chaplaincy, affirming your standing as clergy in the eyes of the church and community.

If you already have Licensed, Officiating, or Ministry Chaplain credentials, you are welcome to upgrade your credentials as well. Your upgrade includes a new Letter of Good Standing outlining your updated authorization with the Christian Leaders Alliance, an official ordination certificate, and an updated ID card.
