  • Introduction to Personal Dark Sides

    In this session we will introduce the Dark Sides we ALL deal with and how to address them. The Dark Sides are summarized in five expressions that we will discuss and study in the next five sessions including this one. The five Dark Sides are: 1) Compulsivity; 2) Co Dependency; 3) Paranoia; 4) Narcissism; and 5) Passive Aggressive behavior. All of these "Dark Sides" are what we refer to as shadow sides of what drives us to get what we want and for success in anything. The goal of this portion of our Domestic Tranquility study is to identify where we are within these five Dark Sides since we all deal with them on a daily basis. As a result, we exercise better self awareness and self care in our Lord Jesus Christ as we become more like Him. 

    We will walk through the Dark Side of Leadership power point to cover all of the dark sides, their effects, the Biblical solutions and the Profile that will be posted for you to take.

    Regarding The DARK SIDE PROFILE:

    There are three PDF files attached that provide all three pages of the DARK SIDE PROFILE. This is the Profile I referred to in the Video as I covered the Overview of the Dark Sides. 

    The Dark Side Profile is for you to download, print, and fill out to determine where YOU are at in each of the five Dark Sides as defined by the Overcoming the Dark Side of Leadership Book by McIntosh and Rima. The PowerPoint presentation on the Dark Sides is based on this book. 

    Regarding how to use the Profile, follow the directions on the handout once printed; it is self explanatory.

    The purpose of this profile is to shed light on where you are in your spiritual, emotional and mental places. 

    As stated previous, this is a HANDS ON, PRACTICAL course that is Bible based and Christocentric and delivers well researched material. The Dark Sides study is to help you in every sphere of life from work to home. 

    This Profile is meant to give you a self-check so that if you need to get help, you understand why. I also invite you to use this tool in your ministry to help others discover where they are and to continue to work on themselves. 

    NOTE: NONE of the material on this Profile is on the Quiz. However, I provide this Profile for your personal benefit and spiritual growth. 

    REGARDING JOURNALS: In the Videos I mention journals. This too is meant for you to do as a spiritual discipline similar to the Dark Side Profile; may God bless you as you work on your walk with Him via this course. Also:  There is nothing journal related in any of the quizzes in this course.
