  • Navigating Conflict in Christ

    Taught by Attorney/Pastor Brian DeCook

Conflict can bring out reactions we wish we could take back. Navigating Conflict in Christ is a practical Christian Growth Mini-Course that helps participants recognize unhealthy conflict patterns, respond with greater wisdom and self-control, practice forgiveness and honest communication, and pursue peace without ignoring truth or healthy boundaries.

Using the Peacefire framework, participants will learn how to move away from reactive patterns and approach conflict with humility, prayer, grace, courage, and greater dependence on Jesus Christ.

    Outcomes

By completing this Mini-Course, participants will:

    1. Recognize common patterns of offense, defensiveness, anger, blame, avoidance, and control.
    2. Understand how desires, fears, and expectations can influence conflict.
    3. Practice pausing, praying, listening, and responding with greater wisdom before reacting.
    4. Develop healthier habits of confession, forgiveness, communication, and personal responsibility.
    5. Learn when reconciliation is appropriate and when healthy boundaries may be necessary.
    6. Apply the Peacefire framework to conflict in relationships, family, church, ministry, work, and everyday life.

    Requirements

Participants will complete assigned course materials, reflection activities, and learning quizzes designed to apply the Peacefire framework to real-life conflict and relationships.
