Christian Marriage Growth
Understand marriage through a biblical, covenantal, and Organic Human framework rooted in faithful love, whole-person formation, wise boundaries, and lifelong covenant care.
Christian Marriage Growth is a one-module Christian formation course designed to help students understand marriage through a biblical, covenantal, and Organic Human framework.
Christian marriage is more than romance, legal partnership, personal happiness, or household management. Marriage is a covenant before God in which one man and one woman are called to become one flesh as embodied souls—spiritually and physically united in faithful love.Students will explore marriage as a lifelong journey of covenant growth. This course teaches that husband and wife are not souls trapped in bodies, nor are they merely biological or emotional partners. They are living souls—fully spiritual and fully physical persons created in the image of God.
Marriage growth therefore includes spiritual formation, bodily love, emotional maturity, forgiveness, repentance, communication, sexual faithfulness, family formation, wise boundaries, shared calling, and lifelong covenant care.
Covenant Marriage Growth
Covenant
Marriage is a public, spiritual, physical, and lifelong promise before God.
Union
Husband and wife are embodied souls joined in one-flesh covenant love.
Repair
Marriage requires repentance, forgiveness, patience, boundaries, and grace without denial.
Faithfulness
Covenant love grows through spiritual maturity, lifelong care, and hope in Christ.
Course Description
Students will study the biblical foundations of covenant marriage, spiritual and physical union, realistic expectations in marriage, forgiveness without enabling abuse, living with the opposite sex, Organic Man and Organic Woman, whole-marriage discernment, covenant fire through the aging cycle, fruitfulness, parenting, communication and conflict, family boundaries, spiritual growth together, and faithful love until death parts the couple.
This course is honest, practical, Scripture-rich, non-shaming, and ministry-ready. It speaks with grace about real marriage struggles while calling couples toward covenant faithfulness, repentance, repair, tenderness, desire, holy freedom, wise boundaries, and Christ-centered growth.
This course was developed by the Christian Leaders Institute Research Team, led by Rev. Henry Reyenga, with Pamela Reyenga as editor and contributing members Dr. Mark Vander Meer, Abigail Dominiak, Sophie Distefano, and Haley Steiner.
The course is presented in a warm, practical, biblically grounded format for married couples, engaged couples, ministry leaders, officiants, chaplains, life coaches, Soul Center leaders, and students seeking Christian marriage formation. The course structure follows the 13-topic framework from the Christian Marriage Growth master template.
