PhilMinistry Skills: Christian Philosophy for Whole-Life Discernment is a one-module Christian Leaders ministry course that equips Christian leaders, chaplains, Life Coaching Ministers, Soul Center leaders, pastors, mentors, small group leaders, ministry volunteers, and thoughtful Christians to use Christian philosophy as a practical ministry skill.
Philosophy is no longer just an academic discipline. Every person lives according to answers they believe about identity, truth, purpose, justice, love, suffering, and hope. Why This Course Matters
In today’s world, philosophy has become a ministry concern. People are wrestling daily with questions of identity, gender, embodiment, purpose, suffering, justice, calling, truth, love, and hope. Many are being shaped by philosophies they may not even recognize, including naturalism, expressive individualism, postmodernism, identity-based frameworks, therapeutic culture, utilitarian thinking, Marxist or social analysis, and other cultural stories that try to explain human problems.
This course teaches that philosophy as ministry is deeply relevant today because every person lives by answers to life’s biggest questions.

Course Description
PhilMinistry Skills helps leaders guide deep questions with biblical truth, Christian worldview clarity, pastoral humility, and practical wisdom. Drawing especially from Roy Clouser’s critique of religious neutrality and Herman Dooyeweerd’s 15 aspects of created reality, students learn to identify hidden ultimate beliefs, recognize reductionism, and notice the many-sided nature of human life before God.
The course trains leaders to avoid flattening people into one label, one wound, one diagnosis, one feeling, one social category, one gender struggle, one political explanation, or one spiritual slogan. Instead, students learn to see people as whole embodied souls before God: created, fallen, redeemable in Christ, called, spiritually formed, and destined for resurrection hope.
