People Skills Confidence
Grow in relational confidence through Christ-centered listening, communication, boundaries, friendship, conflict navigation, and everyday people skills without shame, performance, or manipulation.
People Skills Confidence helps Christians grow in everyday relational confidence with grace, wisdom, courage, healthy boundaries, and Christlike presence. The goal is not social perfection or guaranteed popularity. The goal is to become a Christ-centered person who can enter everyday relationships with greater peace, love, humility, courage, and wisdom.
Course Overview
People Skills Confidence is a Christian Growth Course taught by Professor Brian DeCook and Rev. Henry Reyenga, with Haley Steiner as the presenter.
This course is designed for Christians who want to love people well but may feel unsure in conversations, tense in conflict, awkward in groups, uncertain about boundaries, or hesitant in friendships and ministry settings.
Instead of pressuring students to become someone they are not, the course offers a Christ-centered pathway for growing in people skills through grace, biblical wisdom, practical formation, self-awareness, and courageous relational practice.
Receiving Yourself as an Organic Human
Participants learn to receive themselves as organic humans created by God and being formed in Christ. The course explores how spiritual and physical life work together in relationships, including inward self-conversation, emotions, posture, tone, listening, speech, and relational habits.
Students are encouraged to practice rightly ordered self-love, self-respect, and gracious self-conversation rather than shame, harsh self-judgment, social performance, or comparison.
Christ-centered people skills begin with receiving yourself before God and learning to love others with grace, truth, courage, and humility.
