Recognizing Ministers With Existing Credentials (1 Credit)
by Henry Reyenga and Brian DeCook
If you are an ordained minister, who has already in your past become ordained in a non-Christian Leaders Institute or Alliance process you may be interested in affiliating with Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA). CLA is a global religious society that welcomes credentialed Christian leaders to join the Alliance in a minister role similar to what you are currently holding with your current or previous religious society.
Who is this for?
This is for those ministers who have their training completed and now want to affiliate with Christian Leaders Alliance.
Example: You are an ordained Baptist or Presbyterian Minister of the word that has an MDiv from an accredited Seminary.
What are the requirements for affiliation?
To affiliate with CLA, you must:
- Calling and Connection Course or Christian Leaders Connection Course: These courses are designed to help you understand your calling as a minister and to connect with other Christian leaders.
- Bible School, Bible College, and Seminary credentials: You must have completed at least four years of Bible study at an accredited Bible school, Bible college, or seminary.
- Good standing as a minister: You must be in good standing with your current or previous religious society. This means that you must be in good moral character and that you must be able to demonstrate that you are a faithful minister.
- Complete the Endorsement Requirements. Licensed Ministers Level 2 Endorsement and Ordained Ministers Level 3 Endorsements
- Review and agree to the CLA statement of faith.
- Complete an interview with a CLA representative.
- Order your active credentials.
What are the benefits of affiliation?
Affiliation with CLA offers a number of benefits, including:
- Listing in the CLA minister directory
- Eligibility to purchase a credential package
- Eligibility to register a Soul center
What is a soul center?
A soul center is a place where people can come to connect with God and each other. Soul centers can be located in churches, homes, or other community spaces.
