Why does The Multipliers program exist?
Religious Mission: CLI, as the name suggests, is an institute focused on training Christian leaders for ministry and service. Many religious organizations and institutions operate on donation-driven models as they align with the principles of stewardship and community support emphasized in Christian teachings.
Accessibility: CLI aims to provide high-quality education and leadership training to individuals who may not have the financial means to attend traditional seminaries or educational institutions. By relying on donations, CLI can keep its courses and resources accessible to a wider audience, including those in economically disadvantaged or underserved areas.
Support from the Christian Community: Donations often come from individuals, churches, and organizations within the Christian community who believe in CLI's mission and want to support the development of future Christian leaders. This model allows those with resources to contribute to the training and equipping of future pastors, ministers, and church leaders.
Nonprofit Status: CLI may operate as a nonprofit organization, meaning its primary goal is not to generate profits but to fulfill its mission. As a nonprofit, it can receive tax-deductible donations, which can incentivize people to contribute to its work.
Reducing Barriers: By not charging typical tuition fees for courses, CLI eliminates a significant financial barrier to education for aspiring Christian leaders. This can empower individuals who might otherwise be unable to pursue formal theological training.
Flexibility and Scalability: Donation-driven models often provide flexibility in funding, allowing CLI to adapt to changing circumstances and expand its reach as needed. When donations increase, CLI can potentially offer more courses, programs, or resources to students.
Engagement and Community Building: A donation-driven model fosters a sense of community and engagement among donors, students, and alumni.
