This course explores how organizations create value and engage customers through digital marketing, teaching students to design and evaluate ethical, data-informed strategies that integrate professional excellence with Christian principles of integrity, stewardship, and service.
Course Overview:
This course examines the principles and practices of online enterprise marketing in a world defined by rapid digital transformation. Students will explore how organizations create and deliver value through digital channels, shape customer experiences, and compete in global markets. Emphasis is placed on integrating analytics, emerging technologies, and strategy with ethical decision-making and Christian worldview perspectives. Through case studies, scholarly readings, and applied projects, students will learn to design, evaluate, and present digital marketing strategies that demonstrate both professional excellence and biblical values of integrity, stewardship, and service.
Course Outcomes:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain how digital transformation reshapes enterprise marketing, including product innovation, value propositions, customer journeys, and competitive advantage.
- Apply key digital marketing tools, such as SEO, content strategy, email, and social media, to develop integrated campaigns that align with organizational goals.
- Evaluate customer insights and behaviors, using research, personas, journey mapping, and analytics to drive data-informed strategies.
- Integrate Christian principles of honesty, humility, and stewardship into digital marketing practices, addressing challenges such as privacy, authenticity, and responsible growth.
- Analyze the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and personalization, for both marketing strategy and Christian witness in the digital economy.
- Design and present a comprehensive digital go-to-market plan that communicates a clear value proposition, growth strategy, and success metrics, grounded in ethical reflection and practical application.
Assignments
- Read all online reading materials.
- Watch online video lectures for each unit.
- Take the online quiz for each unit.
- You will have 75 minutes to answer 20 multiple-choice questions for each quiz. Once a quiz has started, you must finish it, and you can't retake it. So be ready ahead of time. While taking the quiz, you may use your notes and refer to articles and other materials. Tip: First answer all the questions you know. Then try to look up answers to questions you don't know. When you have entered an answer for every question, submit the quiz for grading before the 60-minute limit.
- There are two papers that will be submitted during this course. Ensure papers are written in APA format, to include citations and references. Once complete, send papers via email to cstreeter@christianleaders.net.
Grading Scale
A 95-100% A- 90-94% B+ 87-89% B 83-86% B- 80-82% C+ 77-79% C 73-76% C- 70-72% D+ 67-69% D 63-66% D- 60-62% F 0-59%
Your average grade for all assignments in the class must be at least 60%. Otherwise, you will fail the class and will receive no course credit.
Note: You must complete all work by the final deadline of the course. If you are not done by that date, you will have to take the class again in order to receive credit. Incompletions are considered drops.
