Read the Inspiring Testimony of this Fellow Christian Leaders Institute Student
CLI Student Brent Arnett
"The Lord brought me to Himself in May of 1989. I was brought up in a decent home, but there was no Gospel of any kind. I left my childhood home at age 19 I became heavily involved with drugs, alcohol, and all of the sinful practices that come along with that lifestyle. After a few years in that prison of sin I was left broken, hopeless, and homeless. Around that time I was handed a bookmark with several scripture references on it. One of the references was Psalm 23 for comfort. I borrowed a Bible and read- as I did, a peace came over me that I had never before experienced. I spent the next few days with tears flowing- crying out to God to take me, and He did. Praise God! My way of thinking has never been the same, I never had thoughts of Christ before that time, but not a day has gone by in 27 years that He has not entered my mind.
I plan on using my ministry training first and foremost to God's glory. To become a better follower of Christ, a better husband, a better father, and to take the Gospel to the streets, prisons, and jails.
A degree from CLI will better equip me through structured, disciplined study, by keeping focus on a goal that I believe will make me better equipped to not only proclaim the Good News, but also to live it."
Please pray for Brent and his ministry!
