CLI LIFE COACHING QUESTIONS

  1. What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a tool that helps clients reach their goals through open-ended questions.

  1. What is the difference between the Life Coach certificate and the Life Coach license class?

The license program is one up from the certificate program.  With the certification program, you received a certificate to do life coaching.  With the licensed program you will be licensed to perform the following functions:  life coaching, weddings, baptisms and dedications, funerals, the Lord’s supper, professions of faith, confessions of sin, forgiveness prayers and ceremonies, anointing ceremonies, care facilities visits, spiritual warfare, and master of ceremonies events.

  1. What is the difference between the CLI life coaching program and other life coaching programs?

There are many life coaching programs around the world and we cannot comment on all the other programs.  The CLI program however has been designed with God at the center of the program and focussed on how to achieve your goals in a Christian lifestyle.

  1. How is CLI accredited?

We are accredited by IABCS (International Association of Bible Schools and Seminaries) and members of ACEA. Also, Christian Leaders Institute has an agreement with Calvin Theological Seminary, Northern Seminary, and Western Theological Seminary in which our Bachelor of Divinity Degree graduates can apply to attend there. For any other colleges, you would need to check with them ahead of time.

  1. What job opportunities would I have if I complete this Life Coaching program?

Job opportunities would differ from country to country.  Your experience in life coaching and your reputation will also play a big role in what job opportunities you might have.  Remember, if you, for instance, want to see a psychologist to help with a specific problem, you will look for someone who has a lot of experience in the specific area you are seeking help with and someone who is well known to be good at what they do.

  1. How much should I charge for a life coaching session?

A life coaching fee would depend on various factors, such as the country you live in, your reputation, how much experience you have, and so forth.

  1. How often should I see a client?

The client is always in charge in life coaching.  It would therefore be up to the client how often they want to see the life coach.

  1. Would a couple or group life coaching look different from one on one sessions?

Couple or group life coaching sessions would look different from one on one sessions.

  1. Do clients younger than 18 years need parental approval for life coaching sessions?

The necessity of parental consent will differ from country to country.

  1. Should you take notes while in a session with a client?

Absolutely.  The clients can take notes as well if they wish to do so.  Notes might help the client to process and organize his/ her thoughts and will help remind the client and coach what was said for the next session.

  1. How would you handle a possible goal by a client that would not be in line with the Christian lifestyle, for instance, vengeance?

The CLI life coaching course is based on Christian values with God in the center of the practice.  God’s Word (The Bible) would therefore be the best guideline to deal with topics that are not according to the Christian lifestyle.

  1. What types of people use a Life Coach?

All types of people of all ages.  All people can benefit from the results of life coaching.

  1. How many coaching sessions will a client need?

The client is always in charge. So as many as the client want.

  1. Where will the coaching session take place?

These days, with technology as advanced as it is, coaching sessions can take place in a variety of ways.  A lot of clients do their sessions online or via phone.  I still think the best way to do a life coaching session is face to face.  It is more personal and you have a variety of things such as body language that you can work with.
